Yah this seems like a strange requirement to have. I get the desire to reduce/prevent spam but requiring any new user to spam 30 posts in order to access the classified section is too much. Maybe require this for creating new threads only? Otherwise I think a time since creation requirement should be sufficient just prevent someone from mass registering from a single place via other mechanisms.

It’s really to prevent scammers from signing up…selling an item and ripping them off. Works both ways, selling and buying. Establishes a pattern and backtrace intentions. Good for both parties.
