There's no iPhone mini anymore. I'm considering getting a used iPhone 12 mini, c.135g versus 170ish g for the new base models and 200g ish for the pro, ie anywhere from 35g to 65g saving. Less weight, less pocket clutter. I'd run in parallel and just swap the sim in for events. Please roast this idea.

Palm? https://palm.com/ No need to swap SIMs.

Or find a Hammerhead Karoo 2, they have a slot for a SIM card. Noteably missing from the 3.

For calls or texts I just wear my Apple Watch. I only bring my phone when I want to take pics when doing adventure riding.

Thanks. Some good suggestions. The palm doesn't get good reviews but I actually like the concept. Somewhat complicated by my glucose monitoring software being on IOS. I could possibly dual on android. I'll let you know how I get on.
