I am in search of a very lightweight climbing wheelset. I weigh 74kg (165lbs) so I think I wheels can handle my weight.
shimano hub, and tubular are fine as well as a 10 speed. thanks

Light wheelsets suffer at the rims and spokes. By going heavy shimano hub you require the use of the most delicate rims and spokes which is the direct opposite of durability. If you don't mind exceeding your weight goal you can go ahead as planned.

If you want durable lightweight hubs checkout carbon ti.

Choose perhaps something in the 30mm rim depth range to give you a bit of meat/durability, and 20/24 spokes or 18/21, should be good for your weight.

I'm afraid there might not be any light rims in that depth so you might have to do something like farsports air rims 23x25mm. I remember seeing some deeper farsports air wheelsets. Could be something.

If you have a good spoke count you can use quite light spokes.

Farsports do have 35mm superlight rims. Try scoring a pair of those perhaps. Lace to Carbon-ti hubs with "super cx-spokes" 20/24 and alloy nipples and you should land close to 900gr.

thank you for the replies and the help. I will check with farsports tomorrow.

I did not understand the 'By going heavy shimano hub you require the use of the most delicate rims and spokes which is the direct opposite of durability"

Thanks

Do you mean shimano freehub or shimano hub?

Shimano branded hubs are quite heavy. Shimano style freehubs are available for all hubs.

Shimano hubs are quite durable. It's often the reason people want to use them.

If you simply prefer the lightest you can choose extralite. At 74kg it shouldn't be a problem for sunny smooth road riding.

900gr minus shimano hubs weight = xxx grams left for spokes, nipples and rims.

Whatever xxx is, it's crazy low.

Dura ace 9000 hub f+r = 370 g. Few extremely ww rims are aroung 200 g each, but they are not strong. Then spokes + nipples < 130 g if you want to hit sub 900 g. Sapim alu nipple = 0.38 g each. Berd Poly spoke = 2.5 g each for the low profile rim but you won't get a stiff wheel with them. If you build 18 f + 21 r (28h rear DA hub but build with 2:1), you could make it possible. Anyway it is neither stiff nor durable.
