I recently purchased some new wheels, and I'm selling my the Firecrest 404's that I had on there. These wheels are in great shape, and have been well cared for. They've never been road raced, and live in pancake-flat Houston, TX, so the brake tracks have never been exposed to any serious heat. They were used on two 40km TT's back in 2018.

These are the last year of the 88/188 hubs (V9 hubs, 11-speed Shimano) - the ones that were designed for Mark Cavendish, and which feature the "virtual 3x lacing" pattern for the rear wheel. The bearings were replaced about a year ago with new NTN bearings, and they roll buttery smooth. The wheels were also recently trued, in order to sell them. The wheels have approximately 8k miles between two bikes.

I'm also including a couple of additional items, to sweeten the deal:

Tires: Continental GP4000SII (700x25) - about 1/2 lifespan remaining.

Cassette: Shimano 105 (your choice of 12-25 or 11-28) - both cassettes were used about 5 times, tops.

Skewers: Zipp Ti skewers - purchased about a year ago from Competitive Cyclist.

WheelBuilders Aero Cover (used a couple of times for TT's, and I'm including everything to mount it, but ran out of valve stickers)

Price includes shipping and PayPal fees. Reasonable offers will be considered.
