SDV66 for CX?

Especially for light weight issues concerning cyclocross / touring bikes & parts.

Anyone used the Reynolds SDV66 wheels for CX racing? Only thing that concerns me is the spoke count, 16 front/ 20 rear. There are some really good deals on these at the moment... Anyone think they would hold up as well as the DV46 wheels with a 20/24 spoke count?

Any idea if they were the standard spoke count or custom? I need to try and dig up some pics from that race.

Edit: All pictures I found showed Kabush riding DV46 Clincher wheels.

I ride Edge I-68's for cross (built them up for road but am now using them for cross) and they work great. 24h rear 20h front.
my only complaint is there almost too stiff for cross. they can really beat you up. I'm about 6'1" 160 so not super small.
if you can get a rockin deal on the SDV66's I'd say give em a try. but only if you don't mind gettin beat up a bit and your not that small.

i had the 66s and have ridden edge 68s and the edges get the stiffness nod over the reynolds. The reynolds are really nice wheels though.
