i have a mondraker podium frame i wanna convert to a gravel bike.
but have some questions/problem regarding the chainring/crankset setup.
its stated at being able to run 38T chainring from factory, so maybe a 40 or 42T will fit.
but would like to go a bit bigger.
i wanna ride a powermeter and for ease i would be going with sigeyi 5x110 as i have some chainrings for that already and also can reuse the powermeter in the future for road/gravel bike better.
was gonna go with a Garbaruk chainring with 0 off-set
i was thinking of buying a sram dub eagle wide crankset to offset the chainring a bit and maybe have more clearence for a bigger chainring that way, is that possible? and how much will it give? (the 0mm offset chainring will already give med 3mm compared to regular boost sizing chainring.
is there any better way of getting room for a bigger chainring?
and is it even possible to do this with the wide crank, or will this completely ruin the shifting with an off-set chainline ?

I’m no chainline expert, but I’ll share my experience.
I’ve built a gravel bike out of a Chiner MTB frame (stated clearance 40t). It’s a boost frame and I went with a normal boost MTB crankset. I installed a XCadey Gen2 104BCD power meter. I went with the 104BCD because it’s more standard for MTBs, BUT this power meter/spider has a bit of offset built in, being the standard 3mm boost offset. Then I used a 42t chainring with 0mm offset. So with the combined offsets of the spider (PM) and the chainring, it’s still a 3mm offset towards the BB. The 42t chainring did fit, but just barely. I had some play left in the preload adjuster of the crankset (Senicx), so I put a small 2mm spacer on the drive side to give a bit more clearance, and to maybe use a 44t in the future.
In your case, I would assume the Mondraker is designed around a “standard” 52mm boost chainline and the stated clearance of 38t is with this chainline (this assumes a 3mm offset of the chainring). The DUB-Wide for MTB is a 55mm chainline, and would give 3mm more space, so a 44t would probably fit. (Disclaimer, SRAM states that the DUB WIDE cranks are NOT compatible with frames designed around a 52mm chainline.)
I would check if the Sigeyi PM has some offset built into the spider (since it’s mostly used for road and gravel I would assume it doesn’t which would be good). And try to base the decision of the cranks on this.
