new Crux?

Very interested to see what a new Crux will look like. So far, the Crux is the Aethos turned gravel still carrying over some traits of a cx bike. Like the Aethos, it's whole design is based on substraction. An almost Zen approach to frame design.
On the other hand, right now, Spec does not have the gravel racing sector covered fully with the Crux. I mean you can race it and I don't believe the Crux is any slower but most people love to see aero tubing, integrated routing, and a story of speed. Speed is a sensation that starts with belief in many cases.

Hopefully they don’t go aero/integration route with Crux. They can do that with Diverge. The Crux coolness comes from me its simplicity and traditional design. The Elilee Blize is a really interesting frame in regards to the Aethos, very similar aesthetic/vibe but apparently has some aero development thrown in there which tests close to the SL7, and the rear end is supposedly super stiff. It'd be awesome if there was a gravel version of that frame.

I totally agree on the simplicity. One might argue, that there is hardly any way to improve the Crux of now if keeping to its identiy. Geo is pretty perfect for essentially a road bike that does gravel very well. Great tire clearance. Can't really make it lighter. Has no known defects other than the shitty headset it comes with and maybe giving it a slightly longer head tube because in all honesty most of us are having a stack of spacers anyhow.
Maybe integrated housing would not totally ruin it, but Spec has plenty of bikes with standard housing simply because of the Future Shock anyhow.
On the other hand, Spec is a company that runs on selling bikes in somewhat overseeable product cycles. And from that point even if the Crux is a great bike, the market needs another product.
