Hi - I have an OPEN UP RTP incoming that I got a fantastic deal (impulse purchase) on. I'm trying to decide if I should keep it or not and get it painted and build it up. I also have a Record Mech Disc Group sitting in the Garage that I got a great deal on that I would put on it. I have not bought wheels yet.

I don't really need it as gravel bike, that is covered - more looking at it as a big tire Road Bike with either 32mm GP5000 or 35/38mm Herse Slicks.

How stiff is it? How good is it as a Road bike? How fast does it seem? That dropped Chainstay bugs me - it seems like it would be easy to flex, however if I understand bicycle forces correctly - its the non-drive side that provides the rigidity.

Any comments appreciated - from anyone who has ridden or owned an UP or UPPER as a road bike.

Thanks
