MY23 bikes, listed for pre order.
I don't have a date now.
It looks like bikes will be available in spring (with sram/shimano targeting each other)

Does anyone know what freehub body this will fit, or what the intermediate cogs are?

That could be big as it'd offer a much simpler upgrade path for riders who want wireless gears.

It's not unlikely that Apex AXS will only come with an XPLR version of the RD rather than the road version. Hoping they give it the full road 2x treatment though as it would mean 11-3x range cassettes too.

Is this needed? The XPLR RD is capable of clearing both the 10-50 and the smaller 10-33 cassettes. Simplifying the number of mech cages sounds like a great way to save on production imo. And I highly doubt they will bother making 10-26 or 10-28 apex cassettes

The XPLR RD uses a fixed b-knuckle and an offset guide pulley like other 1x RDs. When combined front shifting, the b-gap will not be consistent when switching between small and big rings. It will be functional, but it isn’t ideal and SRAM is not likely to officially support it.

Interesting, been a while since sram released a mechanical road gruppo. Wondering if it will have a front derailleur, since their last fd design is quite old

Awesome, just as I've been whining about wanting a 12 speed 11-42/11-44 on HG from Shimano (for some reason I never saw this thread).

Any indication as to the gradations? 11-12-13 are a lock.... as is 44.... so my guess:

11,12,13,15,17,19,21,24,28,32,38,44

That's the 10-44 AXS cassette, with the 10 swapped for a 12 (I sincerely hope it doesn't have that horrible 19-22 jump mid-cassette as found on some of their older stuff!)

Edit: Also, if Apex is 12 speed and electronic, how do they differentiate it from Rival XPLR?

I'm reliably informed it's mid-June
