Hi All
On my Trek Boone RSL 2019 - I need to replace my 50t chainring on my Shimano R8000 (2x11) cranset as it is wornout.
A new one is currently out of stock.
Can I fit a RX810 48t. instead and will it work fine?
Thanks.

50t chainrings have integrated threaded nuts
48t do not have integrated threaded nuts
you can try to user regular chainring bolts/nuts, if it doesn't work
you may need to buy four cover caps with the threaded nuts
Shimano sells cover caps for 46T - part # Y1W898090
and modify them to make them compatible with chainring
48T is mounted on FC-RX810 on inner side, it have non-flat outer surface (outer surface follow crankarm groove)
46T is mounted on FC-R8000 on outer side, it have inner/outer surface (and flat cover caps surface)
you may need to verify that chainring geometry fits narrow q-factor crankarm and chainline is the same as 50t
