hi, i have a Mares CX and am looking at the Hakka MX
i wouldn't be able to keep both

would the Hakka be a noticeable upgrade? it looks to have slightly more tire clearance than the Mares
it looks like it would also fit slightly better

how much of a ride quality improvement would i get?

does anybody have experience with both bikes?

thanks

Not the Ibis but I did have the Mares CX.
I've had a four Cannondale SuperX's, A Trek carbon CX bike, a Scott Addict CX and carbon Trgon CX bike, and a Ritte.
The Cannondale's, Trek and Trigon all felt stiffer, lighter and yet comfier than the Focus (not so much the Ritte and Scott).
With the Focus I had to have a bunch of spacers as the head tube was short. I found the others fiited better.

In summary I didnt think much of the Focus, my wife had one too and she agreed.

You should get a good amount of tyre clearance on the Ibis. Looking at images I can see the attraction, that's one cool bike! :beerchug:

I had a Focus Mares and I've ridden a buddies Hakka.
Unless you are racing CX, go with the Hakka.

Love my Hakka! Saw a lot of them at the Lost and Found Gravel race -- and in so many wheel/gears/bars combinations. I did have to size a bit up, given their smaller number of frame sizes, but it rides like a dream.
