Anyone running the new Shimano 12 speed stuff on a gravel bike? I am wondering how the rear derailleur does with rough stuff and chain slap, etc... Thanks for any feedback.

Shimano makes a gravel group called GRX and it has the tensioner to minimize slap. I am sure the road group doesn't have it. So it will work, but not ideally. Nevertheless, I have not physically tried the 12 speed group. I'm still getting along fine with 10 speed although it's time for an upgrade.

I never had a problem with cobblestones on my 11 speed Ultegra, so I don't think 12 speed would be a downgrade :)

You won't find many instances of road 12-speed on gravel, at this time, because it's very new, hard to come by, and has to compete with a very good GRX group, which isn't compatible. If you choose to run 12-speed, it won't have a clutch, at this moment, but on a 2x drivetrain, I don't think you'll have any issues - that's the way it was run for a long time.
