none of that is remotely true, off course you can use a 30 mm axle in bb86, there is 4130 bearings, and it works great, and there is srm origin that you can buy in 24 mm, and that's made of carbon.
I admit, I haven't thought about SRM origin, so yeah, he can use that one. But the rest of your statement doesn't take into consideration the context of OP. Of course he can use whatever axle he wants in his bb86 frame (and dub interface is probably better option than rotor 4130), but the OP suggested that he wants to use the original bb92 bb, which can only accomodate 24mm axle.

For some reason, I must keep using the existing Shimano bottom bracket
For what reason?
My bike is a folding bike with a folding hinge integrated into the bottom bracket BB92.
So what?

Are you planning on throwing away the frame when its first Shimano pressfit BB wears out? If not then it can surely be changed.
When the shimano pressfit BB wears out, I would replace it with another new BB92.

And so you could also replace it with something else.

The world opens up if changing the bottom bracket to accept 30mm spindle. Certainly with affordable options and carbon preferences.
