Looks like UDH update only, would have loved to see the following changes:
- seatpost clamping mechanism from the Foil
- small frame bag installation points and size depending bags like Canyon did it with the Grail
- minor increase of tire clearance
But in any case the bike is already great.

I like that there are no upgrades. The bike is great and I am happy with it. And when its time to move on to the next one, the value will still be bigger than it would be, if the new model is completely differant.ChrisRideLog wrote: ↑Thu Oct 10, 2024 7:12 amLooks like UDH update only, would have loved to see the following changes:

FYI for people asking about fitting 50mm tyres, I tried to fit a 2.1 Mezcal at the weekend and it doesn't fit - had about 1mm clearance on the front. No chance on the back.
The 2.1 measured 53mm so you should be able to get a measured 50mm on the front, suspect that would be limited to around 47-48mm on the rear.

I did get 47mm on the rear. But even this due to wide internal rims. Nominal is 44c tyre. The closest is on bottom left with about 4mm space. No way one could fit 50c tyre, even with narrow rims. You need free space for potential mud. Better have 45c or 44c (Tufo) tyre with wide internal rim. Mine is 26mm internal.
Agreed - it's the rear that's most restrictive, I've used a Pirelli H 45mm on the rear which measured 47mm and that was as close as I'd be comfortable with.
For reference my bike is setup GRX x2, with SRAM AXS x2 you might not be able to go this big because of the overhang of the front derailleur.

In muddy conditions I would not even run this and size down to 40mm.Nohands83 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 10, 2024 4:25 pmAgreed - it's the rear that's most restrictive, I've used a Pirelli H 45mm on the rear which measured 47mm and that was as close as I'd be comfortable with.

You could fit an extension on the front of a Speedrocker (aka an SKS mudflap). Easy to make a small hole.
Sorry, not the best photo but gives an idea of guard coverage with the flap installed on the front.

Soon I am going from GRX600 2x (with road 105 front derailleur) to GRX RX825 2x Di2. And hope clearance on front derailleur will still let me run the same tyres.Nohands83 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 10, 2024 4:25 pmAgreed - it's the rear that's most restrictive, I've used a Pirelli H 45mm on the rear which measured 47mm and that was as close as I'd be comfortable with.

I run in winter the Syncros fender and unfortunately the front fender is not long enough, but this could be a solution for it despite compromising a bit on the visual appearance.
Mine is Di2 as well, it's an Ultegra FD but don't think that should make much differenceAgent041 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2024 5:52 amSoon I am going from GRX600 2x (with road 105 front derailleur) to GRX RX825 2x Di2. The size of FD in Ultegra and GRX 825 si very different. GRX is the size of 105 Di2 FD, which is much larger. I just hope the set comes with the plastic cover, so I can run the Di2 cable directly by the RD motor.Nohands83 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2024 9:07 amMine is Di2 as well, it's an Ultegra FD but don't think that should make much differenceAgent041 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2024 5:52 amSoon I am going from GRX600 2x (with road 105 front derailleur) to GRX RX825 2x Di2. Hopefully it fits also GRX 825 FD or it has its own.
I saw 2025 Scott Addict Gravel RC model with Sram Red XPLR is 9k € while Spec SW Crux with same groupset is 13k €. Did not go into other equipment like wheels etc. since I don't have enough knowledge to make judgment but this price difference seems huge and even though I ride Tarmac and would prefer to have bikes from same company 4k € more for Crux seems difficult to justify?
