Some dealers in EU have the Checkpoint SL7 in stock already

That's interesting. Does that mean there's no universal embargo in the EU vs USA or they have them in stock, but customers can't purchase them yet?

Would be bizarre if the bike is able to be purchased now prior to the official release. I would certainly be in line for one 🤩

Talking to a dealer here in the UK, the bike will be launched fully in September /October when more groupset options will be available but some Etap bikes have been shipped to dealers early.
Unusual ‘launch’ of a model for sure! https://www.leisurelakesbikes.com/bikes ... on__369359

Whats missing for me would be a SL6 verison with rival etap instead of the Sl7 Force; similiar to the Emonda.

VeloNews just posted a video about SRAM XPLR with the new checkpoint: https://www.velonews.com/video/video-sr ... -sbt-grvl/

Looking at the specs compared to the current model...
So basically the same weight (new bars are +160gr and youre comparing 1x 52t cassette vs 2x drivetrain though)

As everyone said, going with more of the mtb-style longer top tube for front tire to toe clearence, which is a problem for 45c+ tires.
Same tire clearenece 45c (45c in all sizes though) with 4mm all around using a 25int rim
Wheelbase (56) is +28mm
Reach is +20mm
Stack is +6mm (probably that aero top cap)
Stem is -20mm
Chainstay is +10mm
Seat post is now not-stupid, two bolt seat clamp (win)
BB is now not-stupid
You can cram your spare tubes in the downtube
***underside frame bag bolts ala Salsa

Just got word the bikes are up on the US ordering network. I ordered an SL5 (plan to upgrade to GRX Di2) in gray (the red is also available). Earliest shipping date for the SL7 is Feburary 2022. SL5 is showing July 2022, but my dealer doesn't think that's when it'll come in.

Looks like they have the frame bag bolts here too. Wonder if Trek is launching a QR bolt system like they had for the Boone bottle cage, that's be great

Bought a 2022 Trek Checkpoint SL5 with Shimano GRX. Didn't want SRAM, so it was the only option. Geometry seems very suitable, sporty but not too agressive. I have one road race to compete in the weekend, then I will put it through its paces.

Does anyone know if the SL7 will only be with a 2X SRAM Force eTap AXS groupset? I much prefer 1X drivetrain (2021 SL7 mullet setup) or the 2022 SL6, which uses the new XPLR groupset.

This may be a dealbreaker for me on the SL7 if the 2X configuration is the only option :(

I ordered a 2022 SL7 a few days ago. Feb 22 is when its listed to arrive. The photos showed 2x Force for the SL7. The SL6 is a Rival bike, 1x and isnt full mullet, but has a decent size pie plate on the back. No idea if its 2x only. I prefer that, so I didnt ask about Mullet. It *may* also be a P1 option and the 2x may be XPLR. I knew I wanted it and didnt want to get kicked to the back of the line, so I jumped on it.

That frame looks like a dog taking a shit or something, but reading the specification makes me want one!

Apparently the release date is sept 9th so I'm sure we're going to get an avalanche of information that day. Very curious of the supposed SLR. Haven't really seen much info on that trim.
