Alloy gravel wheel build during covid

I'm going to build up 2 identical wheelsets for me and my friend for our new bikes. Both bikes comes with 12x100/142 so the front hub options are limited - especially during these times. The goal is to build a reliable sets for gravel and bikepacking and I want to keep the cost around 300EUR pr set for rims, spokes, nipples and hubs.
Both frames are suited for 650b. One has a max capacity of 52 w/o fenders and the other 47 so an inner width between 22-25 mm would be perfect right?
So far I have come up with this amounting to 316 EUR and just under 1700g
DT 350 Hubs 28f/32r
DT R 500 db rims
Dt Competition spokes
Sapim Polyax brass nipples
Newmen nipple washers
Would that be an allright build? And am I correct in assuming that these rims will benefit from washers?

Aside from Covid supply issues why does that mean front hubs are limited? Actually I wanted to go 32h up front as well. But then the only readily available hub I can find is a 105. There are some 28h offerings at the same price point as the DT350 like the Novatec D791SB/A . I can only find the 350 available as a 28h.
For rims I wanted to go Kinlins, but Spa cycles dont ship to Europe anymore.
So actually my questions should be as following:
-Will the step down from 32h to 28h cause any major ceoncern for the front?
-Does the Hub and rim combo seem like a good idea? Or can you suggest something better for the same money?
You can get the DT Swiss G 1800 spline 25 wheelset for around 300€ from Germany (for example B-D). Would that be an option?

Beware that DT rims don't come with bead retention humps in the rim bed. If that's a feature you want in a rim, look elsewhere. I've got DT R460s that I built up in wheels myself, but wish I'd bought different rims that had the humps. It's a good safety feature that prevents burping and also keeps the beads in place when the tire is deflated, which is nice if you flat out on the road and want to plug the tire, for example.
Get the RR Rim if you can. I know it is a lot more, but I had the G540 rim (which is basically teh same design, just bigger) and it was radially flexy on hard impacts. I'd also have you get the larger G531 rim, for those tire sizes. You can probably even go up to a 35mm wide + rim with those tires size if you wanted to.
I think for 300eur, as other mentioned, you can get a stock Fulcrum or DT Swiss build (G1800 or C1800) . There's no sense in rebuilding a stock DT Swiss build, and they'll come with way better spokes (aero wide 2.8mm vs 2.2mm normal) and a bunch of adapter you can resell (especially the G or GR wheels which come with an XD driver)

I built up a pair of 650b wheels last year with DT RR481 DB rims and Miche hubs. Cost £345 and weight 1634g the pair. I thought the DT rims were really nicely made. They're supplied with DT's own alloy nipples and washers.

I see what you are saying about not just rebuilding DT stock wheels. And I have decided that I can go a bit more expensive on the rims. For spokes and nipples I think I want DT competition 2.0/1.8/2.0 and Sapim Polyax brass nipples all laced 3x.
My dilema is this:
-32h 12/100 DT 350 hubs are really hard to find for some reason. 28h no problem.
-28h 650b rims harder to find. 32h no problem.
So for the 28/32 combo I can choose either:
DT GR351 at 59 EUR/500 grams. Build weight 1840 grams. 354 EUR
Race Face ARC offset 25 at 94 EUR/428 grams. Build weight 1700 grams. Price 425 EUR
Has anyone experience with the Raceface rims? I have heard that the old version was pretty bad but that they have changed to 6069 Aluminum and that have solved the issue.
Or if anyone know where I can find a 32h DT350 hub in the EU
WTB Frequency Team i23 at 42 EUR/472 grams. Build weight 1813 grams. 320 EUR if I can find the hub at the same price as the 28h version.

What are the specs? I have seen their Mozzi R-DX but can only find them on italian websites.
The hubs are the Miche Race Disc centre-lock. I'm an outlier in the gravel world with using Campag and I found a pair of the Miche hubs with Campag freehub. They're 24h front and rear and I used D-Light spokes.BobbyAamand wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 3:42 pmNice build.

The g531 is welded vs the g540 sleeved. The g540 will want to put some TL goo through the joint when you set it up. I found the g540 rim to be a bit flexy despite its size and weight on things like rocks and potholes- not sure if this was by design.
