How much does your gravel bike weigh? (why are they so heavy?)

The spirit of Grav-lo-cross. No but seriously, cyclocross and gravel go here!

As a reference my Crux Pro 2022 56 ready to ride is 7.67kg with Conti Terra Speed 40s or 7.36kg with gravelking 35 slicks. Remove another 240g for pedals if able to ride without!

That's with a 1x 40t Easton EC90SL crank, 11/40 xtr cassette and XTR 160mm rotors, SRAM Rival 1x mech with Reynolds AR29 wheels. S works saddle. 90mm Mt Zoom stem. Other items stock.

I'm at 7.6.-7.7kg according to my crappy luggage scale of Ebay. Bike is a Cannondale SuperX size 51 with Farsports/DT 350/Gravelking Sk 38, Shimano GRX shifters and Sram 10-42 cassette, Si crankset, Wolftooth 40T, Enve stem and AR bars, S-works Power saddle and Look S-track ti pedals. Except for the wheels, one shifter and the chainring, all is second hand.

I love my luggage scale. Is it 6kg? Is it 9? Well it depends where you hold the uncomfortable plastic bit with the readout! The measuring is the ultimate ww challenge. Respect for holding the requisite 5 seconds for it to settle. Wrists of steel

Having a gravel setup that's appropriate for the conditions we face and our own needs isn't drinking the kool-aid. I'm glad your setup works for you and the conditions you ride. Almost every gravel ride I do in Vermont has climbs with 20-25% grades, and I often ride light MTB singletrack or Class IV roads that are pretty much MTB territory. No way would your setup work for me.

Different strokes for different folks.

7.6kg. New farsports wheels showed up, saved a few grams. 38c gravelking SS, 2oz orange seal in each tire. Depending on the route I'll swap out the cassette for a xg1099 32t, minimal weight penalty.

Just finished upgrading my new Diverge Base with Terra CL wheels, Seatpost and bars, 8.5kg with Powermeter pedals fitted, pretty pleased with that.

Politely, your response should have been directed to the poster who said the following, and not my response.

'how much is the weight in gravel mode? that means 2 bottlecage, 160 fornt and rear disk, 1 bottom tube protection, 40 tyres with knobs, 10-50 cassette and support for lights and bar wrapped with for long distance'

Love the English frames! Any reason on going cable brakes or did you just have the groupset spare?
