Crux 2021

I'm on a 56cm Crux with a seat height of 74cm. I'm 182cm tall, inseem ~84cm. 100mm stem with 35mm spacers (the maximum) under the stem.
My road bike is a Cannondale Synapse which has 10mm shorter reach, 10mm higher stack, that I ride with a 110mm stem and 15mm spacers under the stem. So my crux ends up same reach, 10mm higher stack to the bars so I'm slightly more upright offroad.

I went with 56 and it’s perfect.slowaf wrote:Hi, is anyone riding a Crux with a ~74cm saddle height?
I was curious which size you went with. The reach on the size 56 is a bit longer than I'm used to, so I'm wondering if I should size down to a 54, but then I worry about the saddle-to-bar drop for my geriatric back.
Thanks!

Hello everyone,
Maybe it's been somewhere, but I'm in the market for a new gravel bike and looking at CruX and Santa Cruz Stigmata 4.
- What is the actual max width of 700c tires CruX can handle?
- Is 46T 1x feasible on CruX
Maybe someone tried both of these bikes, how do they compare in terms of handling (geo is very different). Will primary use for grave racing

Officially the Crux takes 47mm tires, I ran Rene Herse at 48 with plenty of room still.
Judging by the geo charts and given my experience with the BMC URS (similar geo to the Stig), Crux and Stig should ride very differently. The Crux is much more road bikey, the URS was like a hard tail with a drop bar.
Saying: Crux is light, agile, nimble. Accelerates well and goes very fast on pavement and lighter gravel. Not necessarily your bike to ride 200 miles chewing flat terrain with rough gravel. Frame weight is 825 in the pro version, S-Works even lighter.
Urs: Much slower in acceleration but super stable down the hill. Eats bumpy terrain much better. Not your bike if you ride a lot of road. Stig has a frame weight of about 1300 grams.

I'm running 1x 46t with 11spd GRX on mine (size 56). Rotor Aldhu with gravel axle (https://r2-bike.com/ROTOR-Crank-Spindle ... ravel-Bike), P2M with Shimano 110BCD and Wolftooth 1x 46t, clearance between frame and chainring is almost 5mm.samarskyrider wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2024 8:46 amHello everyone,

Yes... I have GRX Di2 2x on my Crux... You can see the pic on page 110 of the thread or my build thread in my signature.
I run non-wide Red cranks with a 40t ring. Works fine!
Yes I have mine set up with the Alugear 46t. Size 54 it is pretty close to the chian stay, but been working fine.samarskyrider wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2024 8:46 amHello everyone,

If you run Wide cranks, then there is plenty of clearance.
