i hope they keep making it. its a fantastic bike. just gets overshadowed most of the time b/c its not marketed as a GRAVEL GRINDER.

The market is kinda small... Old people with a lot of money dont race, so they buy the diverge instead.

Great bike though. If its a new one its threaded BB but what else...? The bike feels spot on.

vittoria terreno 40s (i think theyre techincally a 38c but they call them 40s) fit with room to spare. the BB is pretty low for a CX bike too and right in line with many "gravel" bikes. pretty slack head angle and generous chainstays. takes a standard 27.2 post, two bottle cages, and plenty of room for strapping bags if that's your thing. it's an amazingly capable bike.

a 54 frame weighs 950ish and the fork is 380ish IIRC. you can hacksaw the ridiculous PF30 cups out and run a BB30 BB. easy to switch between 1x and 2x too, uses a standard clamp-on FD. no riveted braze-on hanger here.

New crux 2021 is here, but same frame as before. The expert model with 1x11 SRAM Rival is gone (the one people actually bought) and for about 200 euros less you get the new crux with apex, shit wheels, crap tires (not tubeless ready), sunrace cassette and a praxis alba M30 crank.
Are specialized trying to kill the crux or are they just raising prices to earn more money?

I love my crux and change after two seasons, but my 2019 will be kept...

Seems to be £3,000 in the UK, but $2,500 in the US! If you want the S-Works label, better to buy the cheapest model in the range and organise a re-spray!

Does anyone know the actual measurement/spec of the bottom bracket. This OSBB thing is a nightmare. Is it a BB30 with 61mm width?

you won't regret it. it's a magical ride and one of the most versatile bikes on the market if you don't care about running mountainbike tires.

42 x 68 with the glued in cups. 46 x 68 if you cut the cups out.

frameset yes. sz 54. im running XTR 9000 Di2 RD w/ 11-40T & garbaruk 40T chainring on SiSL2 cranks & Ultegra DI2 Shifters. the Di2 1x is soo good. dt240 hubs w/ light bicycle rims. about 7.6-7.7kg ready to go. i have 2 and a half hard cross seasons on it plus some fairly hard 'gravel' riding, and it's been spectacular.

Great bike. Running mine with 48t 11x28 and pathfinder 38mm tires now pre cyclocross.
Love the frame... Which is also very good looking!

Don't know what the big S are up to with the pricing though... Won't buy a new one.

just found a mint used frameset on ebay for $1600. bought it as a back up i just don't see the cyclocross market progressing very quickly anytime soon unfortunately. the new Giant is nice, but they carried over the old geo and it's very traditional euro.

the closest bikes to this i think would be the Ibis or the Santa Cruz, but both are a bit heavier IIRC and probably don't ride as nice. and they both make concessions for the gravel market.
