Ot should be 3mm on the drive side for the "non-wide" BSA DUB... but 2.5 will work, but may cause issues if you run 2x larger than 48/35...Ridinghigh wrote: ↑Mon Nov 08, 2021 3:14 amDUB is what I will be running. If dub, it's 3mm drive side.Ridinghigh wrote:To those that have installed a SRAM crank with a normal spindle and sram BB, how many and what type of spacer did you use on drive side?
My BB came with a 2.5mm and 5mm spacer but I am sure I have others in my parts box.

Looking at the following pictures in the youtube video:
at 4:04 and 4:13 the chainring clearance seems to be no issue but more the limited clearance due to the battery.
Do you guys think that only the GRX 2x will fit without any limitation as officially released by Spesh or also the 12speed Ultegra / Dura Ace?

I think the reason why GRX 2X fits without any limitation (and the SRAM wide crankset as well) is because the crank spindle is 5mm longer than normal road spindles. The 12 speed Shimano road groups maintain the roadie 45mm chainline (44.5mm according to Shimano's site), so I don't think you'll be able to run them without some kind of clearance issue.
Compare stack/reach and adjust stem, spacers and handlebar regarding reach and drop. So no need for an bike fitter, waste of money.
Bike fitting for gravel is still a new area... Manufacturer's are designing the new gravel frames longer with a very short stem... So this becomes confusing when deciding on fitting a bike to your current road bike or go against that trend..
I ride an Aethos in a 52... A 49cm Crux matches my current fit better if I wanted to keep a 110mm stem and maintain my Aethos stack and reach... or go with a 52cm Crux with a 90ishmm stem and maintain my reach but stack will be increased by 15mm.
I don't know the answer... I guess it comes down to this: Do you want it to feel like a road race bike? Yes then size down or kinda racy but with more control for off-road riding, then get whatever size you are in Specialized and shorten the stem to match your reach

I am not having issues with my Rotor 48t chainring clearing the chainstay. However, I am having an issue with the chainring clearing the front derailleur cage. I cannot put the derailleur in a high enough position.

What are the specs you have?
How does it look front on and rearward with the big clearance?

Light bicycle WR35 wheels
berk lupina saddle
red drivetrain with 10-33 cassette
Roval terra bars
Zipp SL carbon stem
Garbaruk 42 tooth chaining
Garmin power pedals
I honestly think it looks fine, but my rims are 25mm inner and 28mm tires. I just ordered some 30mm tires since these need to be replaced.
