Im actually on a 40t right now just to flatten the spread in gears a little. I like to run pretty high rpms. When i was using a double chainring i actually ran only a 42/34.

Did anyone try to run different size tires front/rear? I'm planning to buy a set of Michelin Power Gravel and they come in 33/35/40C versions. My HED ardennes measure 21mm ID.

From what I've seen, CruX has about 47mm clearance between chainstays. I don't know how much 40c will balloon on those rims. Will it makes sense to go for 35C rear and 40C for the front?

Will be curious to hear your review of them. People tend not to think favourably of the ti upgrade for Dura Ace, so I wonder if these are any different?

Yes 40c is cutting it close. Just depends on the actual tire. If you ride in mud or your wheel flexes the tire will make contact with the chainstay. You can always use metal strips to protect the frame like i did up above.

I was keenly interested in the Crux as a 'next frameset' option but have switched my focus over to the Factor LS. The $$ in savings is finally almost there. I'd love to see a new Crux. I couldn't see them changing it too much though... Threaded bottom bracket? Increase the BB drop a smidge? Slightly bigger tire clearance?

I hope they move to T47 or such... My current ride seems to have some quality issues with the precision of the press-fit bottom bracket area. After blowing through yet another bottom bracket my interest in a threaded one has greatly increased.
