Price $5,499.99, WOAH. Jeez...
• A hi-zoot bike, pretty sweet
• An old bike, more fun than the new one actually
• Unicycle, no brand name visible

I think these are just templates they loaded up... I know its a sellers market but you cant increase the frameprice almost 100%... can you?

Maybe it's like the Aethos, 600 gram frameset or such?

So word on the street is the frameset price is somewhere in the 4.000+ USD range. This is coming from a frame that used to be 2700.00.... looks like I am riding the Inflite for another season.

Specialized: "kill your darlings"?

Remember that S-WORKS is some high margin shizzle. Always room to get lower price on anything with the stamp.

This all but confirms the most INSANE price hike for the incoming MY 2022 Crux. Damn this hurts. This is the US Spesh site.

This is stupid, what fool would buy this? Especially in a cross frame which will take more abuse than a high end road frame.

My half full attitude says that is just a mistake since that is last year's frameset but tells us something is coming....

You could get a Pursuit All Road, various Allied models such as Able, or Open UPPER for less than this...!

All Crux carbon bikes have "fact 11 carbon" so by the cheapest one and get same frame and fork as S-works?
Google 71421-0146 and youll see that the price seems to be correct. 5000 USD (but a 2021 frame!?). Maybe its a sneaky way to make the new frame to look "no more expensive than previous years".

Disclaimer: Most of this is from memory (except the geo)

Someone on a small forum sent me some pics of the specs and stuff for model year 2022.
Seems like reach is like 5-10mm longer, stack is little lower (like 4-7mm) or the same.
Chainstay about the same, head tube angle about the same.

On what i saw stock tires was 38c so probably a frame with more space in the rear. The pictures looked just like the old pretty Crux (but who knows how true they are? They where drawn).

S-works gets fact 12 carbon, the rest is downgraded to fact 10 (previously all models had fact 11 carbon). S-works frameset is very expensive at about 5000€, but the good stuff was a "fact 10 crux frameset" for only 3300€. Previous S-works frameset was about 2700€.

Saw some colours but didnt care. The "comp" model had rival mech groupset, "expert" rival AXS I believe, "Pro" maybe AXS red or force.

Anyway I guess it will be a great looking bike and I look forward to it.

Glad I bought a spare frame used. Looks like next cross platform for me will be an Ibis or some sort of lightweight gravel frame.

Downgrade and raise the price. What a shame.

Looks like the OPEN U.P.P.E.R. or especially the Pursuit All Road would be a better and less expensive choice for me compared to the S Works.
