So Crux-ish question. I am in need of a new bb for my s-works crux. Love it do a fair amount of off road gravel and all road rides in all weather. Thinking of going with either Chris King steel or Kogel / c-bear ceramic w/ cross seals. Any opinions, experience or advice appreciated

Of those I would say Chris King. Got one for my Diverge 4 years ago. While changed bikes some times after that the bb is still going strong

Now IF you're ok to spend extra on ceramic c-bear is great bang for buck.

I find it hard to justify the cost of ceramicspeed; however if cost weren't an issue I'd go for them.

+1 C-Bears are good value for money. They have a special CX/gravel version of their BB with improved sealing and different lubrication.

When I finally received my frameset, I was quite surprised to see it on the scale...my 56 10r frameset came out at 940g including the UDH adapter and seatpost clamp. I will remove both and reweigh the bare framesheet, but I cannot imagine that this will be the 115g difference from the claimed/specified weight.

Either way, I ran 52/36t on my Crux, now running 50/34t and there’s no clearance issues for me. My point to the original question was about simplicity and not having to buy a bunch of new parts. If he has the parts to run his crankset, it’ll likely fit just fine without having to buy a new axle and FD.

I installed the Aldhu + P2M + Ultegra combo and I have about 2.0-2.5mm of space. A 2.5 hex wrench barely made the gap...which is tight, but I should be ok I guess:

Has anyone tried a SRAM AXS1x 50T chainring? Curious to know if this would fit with non wide cranks.

Based on how tight the clearance is on some of the photos I have seen of 48-tooth chainrings on non-wide cranks, I would say 50-tooth would be a no-go. Maybe it would work with a wide spindle.

So I have finally built my 2025 crux 10R, it is equipped with the new Red 13 group set.

Amazing ride; currently on Zipp 303 2019 hooked tubeless version with a 21mm inner width.
Currently on pathfinder sworks 42 which is sufficiently wide for me

Big question: will I really notice a difference and is it worth to invest in 25mm inner width wheels (ie roval terra clx)

Hey team, what is the best option for headset bearings? Those original ones last nothing.

Chris King Dropset for the uppper only, otherwise Wolftooth and Ceramicspeed. to me it is a suprise that such an excellent frame comes with such a garbage headset. Guess, the product manager found a way to save 2 bucks.

I put in the cane creek slamset upper, has been trouble free since and the very low stack is nice if you want a low fit!

I got my 2025 Crux 10R built up. Frame on my scale was 837g. Not too bad, but it's the smallest size. The included expander plug is a piece of crap! Lightweight, but fragile. I wish they included something more robust. Other than that, everything seems good. 46t is pretty tight on regular width cranks, I'm guessing I'll need to go to wide cranks to fit 50t. Weight is 7.5kg as pictured.

Wow, nice build! Wish that colourway could be bought as frameset instead of the white/silver/fluo yellow option.
