68mm BB shell confuses me. Why won’t they adopt T47...are they planning their own standard with threaded internal cups?

I watched some reviews on YT.. solid carbon yoke ? hopefully you can pass a di2 cable through still. I'm sure my LBS will get one so I will check it out. Not in the market personally as if I get another all road bike it will be Titanium (moots or bingham)

So tall on small sizes.
Supporting gravel tire require tall fork. Then Future Shock require some (a lot of) stack height.
Now Specialized stuck on how to shrink the stack height of small sizes without reducing the head tube length into nothing and compromise headtube integrity.
So their small sizes have very tall stack height as a result. Therefore, it's simply not in my consideration because of the geometry.

68mm Threaded bb is the normal and narrow BSA. This is inferior to wider bb standards such as bb86 (86.5mm wide) and T47 in term of pushing out chainstay to give way for wide tires in a short chainstay.
Specialized use flat solid right side chainstay to have the tire clearance. If they use bb86, bb386 or T47 then It could have use a wider chainstay than their flat version thus even shorter chainstay.

Wider is better. T47 with internal cups widens the shell to 86.5mm and that lends itself to better tire clearance. No need for a flexy carbon bar vs a stiffer carbon tube.
It's a step in the right direction with a threaded BB.
I'm honestly not that convinced how much stiffness a T47 offers over a 68mm BSA. I mean at what wattage does this really make any difference.
Further Jan Heine (arguably the godfather of wider tyres on road bikes) seems to think "planing" is a good thing.

I'm not talking about BB flex. I'm talking about the bendy carbon bar used to improve tire clearance. That is going to lend itself to lateral chainstay flex because a tube would have been stiffer.

Agree that it hits the mark in most categories(clearance/ mounts /storage /weight/ handling ) but for short people.. Enormous stack can't be fixed for size 49/52 which only have a 5mm difference. And futureshock stems pretty sure doesn't come with negative 17deg.
