Hmmm another fair point. I wonder if a thin ceramic coating might work well before the bike is assembled. I've had ceramic coatings and ppf on my cars before and disliked before for various reasons so I might just ride it and call any marks I get on it 'giving it character' :D
But if you're going to protect frame, it's obviously best to do before you start the build...

Rodeo Labs started offering cerakote on their frames, they claim great results in durability vs traditional paint plus a significant reduction in weight.

Invisiframe is a good idea, they can cut and install, just have painter send frame straight to them. Looks great.

Oh my. I gasped when I saw the marbling effect on the frame. Absolutely stunning. Can't wait to see the end result.

Thank you for the kind comment. Unfortunately like everything else the build is being delayed due to the virus. I'll have everything for the build by next week as a few items have taken longer than expected to get here. Once I do I'll post a few pictures up. Hope everyone is staying safe and getting out on your bikes as and when you can.

Thanks Chris, it's all been put on hold until the quarantine is over. I should be getting the final parts next week (handlebars, groupset) and then I've got the whole bike ready for building/filming. I'll post as soon as I have any more info :beerchug:

Build looks insane. I just added the Berk Lupina to my Open. It's quite comfortable. Where did you get the custom paint done?

Thanks! Rob at Colourburn studios did the frame. For the saddle, seatpost, wheels and cages I just approached each manufacturer and asked if they would be so kind as to custom paint their products for me. Very happy they all said yes!

Love the colour! I was going for a Gold colour but they weren't in stock and probably a good thing as would have been too much gold [/goldmember] :D
