Does anyone know what shoes Van der Poel is using for cyclocross? I believe he was using blue Shimano S-Phyre for a while, but now he's using some white shoes, which don't look like Shimano to me.

I think they are the S-Phyre, just a custom color for the World Champ kit. Aerts has them in red also I believe for his Belgium national champ kit.

Edit: Just looked at some pictures and they do look a little different than the regular XC9. Maybe a prototype?

The second picture shows a good view. The tread looks like the XC9 but the top boa looks different.

Ah, good catch. Those XXX shoes look amazing, really digging the navy/pink, but too rich for my blood.

Love white shoes & white socks on road bike.
But not really for offroad use. Clean shoes for approx. 5 minutes and if you dare to pair with white socks, they also look dirty immediately.

True, I ride the white S-Phyres RC901 on the road bike.

Baby wipes after a ride work like a charm, look brand-new again.

Does not change the fact that for my kind of offroad use (not only in pristine conditions) they will look dirty 95% of the time

In white, it's a great looking shoe though, and I bet they work excellent together with the XTR pedals.

The top material of the new shoes is easy to clean, but the inside is not. Luckily the inside of the new XC models is black/dark, not white like the RC902 road model.
