Topstone apex I or Caadx Ultegra

Especially for light weight issues concerning cyclocross / touring bikes & parts.

Winter is coming (at least for start saving for a off-road bike). It should be said in advance that I am missing many points about differences between gravel and cyclocross.

I am looking forward to an off-road bike, with my thoughts in some cx races during this winter. My budget is around 2000E and I d like a Cannondale as is the brand from my local dealer. With that beeing said, my possibs are the Topstone, Caadx (Systemx would be only possib in case of a super friendly disscount).

As the Topstone Apex has a marvellous blue paintjob (imho) and if I take out the dropper post and install some race tyres, it could be even lighter than the best of the Caadx for almost the same price.

My question is, as you could imagine already, would it be possible to race with it or it would be like racing Paris Dakar with a Dacia Sandero? :noidea:

PS: my grammar corrector is off donno why, so excuse me for my english.
My garage: Trek Alpha 1.9, BRT C0, Cannondale Scalpel SE II, Specialized Epic pro '92, Swiss military bike, Orbea Gredos '87, Specialized Langster '12...

No problem racing either, especially if you change wheels.
