Very much so, yes. Looking forward to the build and might play with complimenting color or shade choices for some of the touchpoints.

I'm using Zevlin Z-atatck teal tape and, for now, Bontrager off blue cages

I know this is weight weenies so you have my condolances. I am going to think of it as 200 grams stronger than a standard OPEN UP frame. What happens with the teal in the light?

I may decide to remove the down tube underneath guard as you did to save about 50g

Nope, I did not get The Call (“It’s ready!”).

Yes, I am too lame to build it myself.

Perhaps it’ll be ready today but I am biking to work on my Tarmac SL6 :) and hence may not make it to the shop before it closes. As Peter The Great says, “we’ll see.”

Keep us posted. Looking forward to seeing the final result. I have put my build aside until I figure out what I'm doing for wheels.

Seatposts.....

I decided to move the saddle back 15mm and swapped out the straight Thompson Elite 27.2 x 330 post for a Thompson Masterpeice Setback Post 27.2 x 240. Better position and saved 77 grams to boot.

TE 27.2 x 330 = 238 g
TM 27.2 x 240 = 161 g

For referance the stock Cervelo carbon post weighs 186 g. Both the straight TE and stock Cervelo post are up for grabs cheap if anyone wants them.

I was at the shop on the weekend and asked if I could weigh some off of a P-series bike, they were cool with it. I didn’t take pics as my hands were greasy but IIRC weights were 29F and 37R for the AERO version vs 65F and 73.5R for OEM Áspero.

I ended up ordering J&L.

Anyone have details on the DT Swiss GRC 1650 that come on the AXS build? Thinking of getting that and swapping for an Eagle rear, but can't find any info on the wheels...

Just speculation on my part but I suspect it’s got DT 350 hub internals, aero comp spokes, and the 1400 rims which are a 24mm internal width, 32mm external with a 42mm height.

Got it. So not exactly a WW wheel. I'd be better off with some Enve 3.4 ARs

Yeah they look like the lower-spec version of the GRC 1400s, which are 1562g for 650b.

If you must have light wheels then prob best to look elsewhere.

Hello,

1st post, I recently ordered a new limited edition Aspero bike for October delivery

Evidently, Cervelo is making a 100 bike run of Dark Teal with 1 x GRX mechanical and 650B wheels
