I'm swapping my Etap to a Colnago Prestige cyclocross frame to get something pretty close to this build:

Exceptions are 1) I will keep Etap cable pull levers and install some mech disc brakes (Spyros or Juin Tech's)
2) Wheels are going to be Zipp 30 alu tubs.

Questions:
A) Currently I have 50/34. Can I only swap the big ring to 46 and keep the 34 or do I need the inner 36?
B) With such gearing in front 46/34, is it possible to push a little and run a 11-30 cassette through the short cage RD? Now I have 11-28 which is what the reference build also has.
C) Any relevant detail I'm missing like FD clearance or height adjustment...
