I'm totally lost on compatibility here.

The Giant website states FSA Mega Exo press fit - But to be more specific the BB on the bike states BBAL86 19mm dia. - So presumably BB86 right with a 19mm spindle hole?

So am I right in thinking I can buy a BB86 bottom bracket with a 24mm or 30mm diameter internal and then purchase any bb86 24/30mm compatible crankset?

it's a bb86 bottom bracket shell. You can use any bb86 bottom bracket as long as its compatible with whatever crankset you are planning to install.

Right ok, so if I wanted to run an Ultegra crankset in that shell then I'd use these bearings to fit for the Ultegra spindle? - https://www.wiggle.co.uk/shimano-bb71-r ... NzEALw_wcB
