just mounted this tire on a tubeless rim, velocity aileron

as far as i can tell, its seated properly all around. but the tire clearly wobbles from side to side by about 2mm

now, i mounted the tire with an undersized inner-tube. i think its capacity is 28-33? but inner-tubes ... well... they inflate

i think i'll try a larger capacity inner-tube and see if that improves things

that being said, the Focus Mares CX will apparently accept a 40mm tire (as measured on the rim) with about 4mm on each side

cheers

40mm inner-tube didn't fix anything

Nope, it won't improve anything. Clement/Donnelly have horrible QC when it comes to these tires. I bought a pair for my wife and myself from REI and ended up exchanging two of them, because of the wobble. It's a well-documented issue, and the change from Clement to Donnelly hasn't helped the situation.

bought a pair of 33mm tubeless MXP and had same issue on both tires (one was much worse wobble than the other). tried with tubes and tubeess and no difference. wasnt noticeable at low pressures while racing so just ept the tire. other note is they blew up to almost 36mm on my stock bontrager rims. HUGE

What's the internal width of that rim?
Can you measure the actual tire width once inflated?

I also have some tubeless PDX's I used for CX this season. They were mounted on some H+ Sons Hydra rims (19mm internal) and opened up to 37mm. I've also mounted them on some H+ Sons Archetype rims (17mm internal) and they're at 36mm.

i'm sure the internal width is somewhere on line
40mm was the inflated measurement
