Issue with Chinese carbon anything is that for those of us inside the EU have to pay a 100% value on vat and duties. So, maybe 600usd for the frame incl. postage but it ende up more like 1200usd in total.
You mean between 25-35%.

Unless your local postman is on the take.

Just worked it out. A 5000CNY/650USD frame would cost about 900EUR/875GBP delivered.
If you paid all the duty and got a correct valuation (and 1000CNY postage).

My frame that’s on the way cost 673USD including shipping, that worked out to £556 with PayPal exchange rates and the piss weak Brexit sterling. I’m expecting about 30 quid customs charges when it lands

What about something like a used Canti cross for a bit of fun without breaking the Budget? Cheap wheels available and something "different"

Looks like question answered by faster responders!

I know when I buy wheels and rims from China they almost always put the value at around a quarter of what I paid, which should help duty charges a bit.

That sounds about right. On another thread I made i got a reply from someone who paid nearly 100% on duties and VAT for his frameset.
