That's funny I Had a tarmac disc with QR and took the wheels out 1000s of times to throw it in the car and never had an issue.

Almost exactly my three wheel sets for my Exploro!

650b with 47mm ByWays
700c with 38mm Gravel King Sks
700c with 26mm Bontrager R3s

And I could easily borrow my wife’s 650b non boost wheelset off her Santa Cruz 5010 if I really wanted to rough it.

The really tricky part is to come up with a wheelset you can just leave on for 95% of your riding.

You're right about that.

Currently have a 650b x 42, 48, 2.1/.2".

Considering a 700x35 for that 95% road/mild-gravel. Selling the alu 42.

Why?

I think the Crr of the tires is killing me.. Schwalbe G-one speed @ 30c. New 20 minute power today and I was literally multiple minutes behind my PR. On a fast group ride I'd have to wreck myself to keep up..I'm seriously averaging 25w more now to stay level.

I'm going to stick in the 26c Turbo Cottons before my next adventure and do a local climb I've done tons.

Try some compass 28C tyres for fast rolling wider rubber.

We've got 6 bikes with QRs and discs, same experience. Wheels in and out all the time.

TBH I've had more alignment issues with the through axle on my new MTB. Just getting the bloody axle to align blind.
