You sent a link to $3000 wheels.

Looking at various options for 650b rims. I’m curious as to what internal width rims people are running with 650b tyres for mixed surfaces.

26mm i.d. 42mm tyre
it's actually possible to come to the conclusion even before realising it makes no sense at all

Has anyone tried mounting a gravel tire on a 30mm internal rim? I can get a super good deal on a wheelset but am not sure if it will run into tire shape issues. I wouldn't be running anything narrower than a 42mm and most likely running 47-48mm tires.

I have 45 mm Riddler's on a 30mm rim, definitely not fast but lots of float

Okay sweet, any issues getting the tires on and off or pretty standard? This makes the deal way more appealing.

Only time I took them off was after I put the front on backwards by accident but no issues there, they went on easy but needed a compressor blast to seat tubeless. Every rim and tire combination will act a bit differently but 99% of tubeless setups go smoothly these days
