I'm going 52-34 with an 11-34 cassette.. I'll have 1:1 for those 20% gradiants and 52-11 so I can keep up with the road boys on the downhills. I might be pure road bikeless for a short time period and I do enjoy my road only group hammerfest rides.

Does anyone have an Easton EC90 SL crankset fitted? As I have a metal plate on the inside of my ankle none I need to know how much clearance I’ll have compared to my current Campagnolo UT crank set up.

The measurement is across the cranks at the axle.

Thanks

I have just installed an EC90SL crankset in my new bike two weeks ago. The cranks have a Q Factor of 149mm: https://www.eastoncycling.com/products/ ... 90sl-crank

Campag Q Factor is 3.5mm narrower at 145.5mm: https://weightweenies.starbike.com/foru ... hp?t=29343

Im with this and the other posters who run similar. Currently on 50/34 and 11-34 or 11-46 depending on the ride. Why run 1x when with 2x along the lines 50/34 you can be faster up and downhill. The new ultegra gs ran an 11-45 for me without a Wolftooth but when I switched to the clutched ultegra it wouldn't shift as well so I added the Roadlink DM and went for an 11-46 cassette to save some weight. LOVE this setup. Spin = Win!

Q-Factor I know. What I’m interested in is the measurement across the crankset at the axle ends.

I’m putting together a gravel/cross/commuter for this winter. Having tried 1x a few times I am sure it’s not for me. So I am looking at hearing options for a 2x setup.

Looking for feedback on gearing options that people have used. I’m looking at either 46/36 x 11-36 using a Dura Ace 9100 & XTR Di2 or Absolute Black 46/30 x 11-30 with Dura Ace Di2 but I’m not sure about the oval rings

Most of my riding will be British bridleways & tarmac roads with a bit of hacking around woods in winter.
I’m building up a gravel/road bike right now as well.
Building up a 3T Exploro:
Ultegra Di2
46/36 crank (swapping out the 36 for a 34)
11-32 cassette (keep a good road group)
Dura ace 9070 front derailleur
Ultegra RX805 tear derailleur

I would skip the mtb derailleur and go with the Ultegra RX800 for mechanical or RX805 for Di2. With the built in clutch, you’ll be thankful you had it later on!

I'm using new Ultegra mechanical R8x long cage rear mech with 11-34 cassette and a Rotor setup at front. Rotor 3D+ Cranks and 46-30 Spidering Chainset, works a treat. You never think you'll need the 30-34 until you do!

No word on release date though!
Looks like Merlin Cycles has them for sale now, £90.
