disc brake rotors
Moderator: Moderator Team
I'm looking for some suggestions on disc brake rotors. Mostly looking for good price to value as this is a budget build using spare parts and and lightly used ebay deals. These will be used with Shimano ST-RS685/RS805 on a Carbonda 505 that will be used for commuting/gravel/light trails. Leaning heavily toward centerlock right now.
I tried Shimano SM-RT20. cheap rotor tends to be very heavy, but works 100%.

I think the thread starter has already decided on calipers, hence why the request for suggestions for disc brake rotors.

I've been using SMRT 99 140mm & 160mm rotors
Lightish
I've had no issues
Less than $50US. I don't know if that counts as budget?

I use Sram Centerline centerlock rotors ( 140 rear, 160 front ) - silent, efficient, hard to bend. Works for me. Next will be Campagnolo. Nothing wrong with Sram- but if brakes are made by Magura, rotors are thicker than anything on the market / read stiffer with better heat dispersion /
Go to Heaven for the climate, Hell for the company.

I can be wrong, and have plenty of examples for that

TRP’s are pretty decent at absorbing heat, dead straight, has had round edges from start and pretty lightweight.erickr wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2018 2:51 pmI'm looking for some suggestions on disc brake rotors. And they are significantly cheaper than shimano’s xt/ultegra offerings (and lighter)
