Hello everyone,

I am 1.90 m tall and have a inseam of about 93 cm. I ride a Carbonda 696 in 61 and a Sworks Tarmac Sl6 in 61, but I would like to convert my 696 into a commuter bike and build a cyclocross bike as a replacement. So what I want is a high stack (min. 615 mm), short reach, short wheelbase.

Do any of you have a tip on a suitable frameset for me? (Reliable/well-known manufacturers preferred)
You're probably better off asking this question on chinertown.com. There are some real open mold frame specialists there :D
I'm a bit taller, have long legs as well and rode the Lightcarbon LCG071-D last two years. It suited perfect for any type of gravel riding since 50c tires fitted. Now I bought the new carbonda 505sl frame since even the lightcarbon had a bit too much stack (626mm) for me. This frame has 42mm tire clearance and is a tod closer to my road bike geometry.

I'm 2m with 98cn inseam and am happy on the carbonda 505. It's a bit more races than the 696, could work for cx in a pinch.
Got pics of that setup? I'm similar dimensions and looking to expand into a gravel bike! Building a chinese open old up seems perfect.

Anyone that has a carbonda CFR707 with 400 or 450mm saddle post and can tell me the max saddle height on XL or XXL frame?

What headset would be suitable for a Carbonda 696?
They offer one for $12 but I can imagine this would be crap?!

Also running the stock one, it's good. The stock axles aren't great however. But i still hate toe overlap on this bike

Does anyone know where I could get the seatpost wedge for a FM1186 or CFR707 frames. I'm actually after a vitus venon 2023 one but wiggle are gone so need to source one elsewhere. The frame looks the same as those bikes
Thanks

I just built one of these as well. I am just waiting on the wheelset from Elite. It des ride like a dream but I think it is a little too big. I got the large and I feel a little too streatched out for my liking, too bad after taking the time painting it. I went with Force AXS except for the Rival Quarq crank.

Hi Everyone!
It's really hard to dig through all available chinese frames on Aliexpress, hopefully someone has already found what I'm looking for.

I've been riding 2018 Specialized CruX and was quite happy with it, except for tire clearance (max 40mm on select tires). Basically, I'm looking for something similar that matches the following:
- 50mm tire clearance
- I don't need bottle mounts all over the place (frame and fork)
- Sub 1kg frame weight (I need something in 58cm range)
- No cables running through headset bearings

I really like the way current gen CruX looks like, but price tag is unbearable...

Hi folks!
This is my open mold frame buildt for Traka 360, finished in tenth position this year ( 7th last year with the same frame but with GRX 1x11 and dedaelementi wheels).
who said that you need an expensive frame to go fast and safe?

I recently finished building up a Velobuild GF-003

Image

It’s a mix of 105 di2 from my previous bike with GRX 825 FD and 48/31 crankset. I have a few sets of tires that I’ll switch out until I buy a second set of rims. One set for road and another for gravel.

The color is silver chameleon with pink chameleon on the top tube, inside fork and rear chainstays. Pictures don’t capture the color very well but the below shot is a better representation.

Wait, you can mix front 12-speed GRX with rear 12-speed 105?

Yeah, they are compatible. As far as I know all of the road 12 speed stuff is compatible. I'm using a 105 di2 rd, 105 shifters, grx 825 di2 fd, Ultegra 11-34 cassette, older Ultegra calipers.

As much as I'd like to upgrade the shifters to either Ultegra or GRX to get the extra button I can't justify the cost. Same goes for the calipers. If I see a smoking deal on a Ultegra shifter/caliper combo on eBay I may pick it up but for now I'm good.
