Where is the best place to get the Juintechs? I'm in the US. I decided I'm going to build my current bike up with Ultegra mech until the hydro is available then donate them to a future rain bike build when the hydro shifters come out.

I just got mine off of ebay. None of the bike shops I work with have even heard of them, and don't have access to them through any of their distributors.

FYI, JuinTech now makes a "M1" model, meant for E-Bikes, and apparently a bit more power than R1.
Gonna get me some to see exactly what the difference is.

Hello,
Any experience with mechanical disc and Link housing ? Like Jagwire Elite Link or I-link ?
For pad compounds, I switched from original TRP Spyre to SwissStop 15E (semi metallic), good improvement.
what kind of pads do the Spyre come with?
i'm pretty brand new to mech/hybrid disc
i go to vermont quite often and there are STEEEEEEP descents

The V-Twin is a tried and tested design, been kicking around for 7 or 8 years in various forms. Can remember seeing the originals, hacked together from two mtb levers with cable actuation.
Basically Hope X2s.
From what little time i've had on them, they are pretty much up there with full hydros. Given a decent quality cable and (short) routing. (Last ones i tried were using segmented outers for maximum effect!)

Oh, they are NOT cheap compared to the cable actuated hydros.
no kidding.. I'd just get shimano hydro at that point. I'll stick with my cheap spryes and the di2 levers that have been on 3 bikes now.

Yeah, it's a pretty close run thing, i think the difference between a complete DA mechanical shifter/hydro disc set up and the equivalent DA mech/mech plus Hope V-Twin is about €100 cheaper for the hopes, ultegra mech/hydro is probably €50 cheaper.
Only real "benefit" is you can get a set of E4 calipers on each end for monster stopping power on laden touring/gravel/bikepacking bikes.

got juin tech F1 paired with sram red 2013 with jagwire road pro housing, the level feel is superb, much better than the trp spyre slc it replaced. The feel is more noticeable in the rear with 1.5m of housing. I also prefer the cable clamp of the F1, trp would flatten and break all new cables at the clamp area. Sitting up the trp wins since you can independently adjust each piston
