What tires is everybody running? I'm looking at options at the moment.

Has to be tubeless.

So far I've got the G-Ones, WTB Horizons and Pari-Moto (which funnily enough on their website says for tubes)

I think Compass do some also.

Very cool but one question: Is the fork carbon? It would seem an aluminum fork would be crazy stiff on the shoulders......

Fork is alloy, see www.cannondale.com

Very stiff fork, that's wat I need on the Slate!

jakkel, very nice set up. Do you have the weights of the built wheelset, as compared to the stock Mavics 419s which are on my Slate Ultegra? Thanks.

I may also look at the R460 DB since it's 40 grams lighter I think.

I'd also be keen to know the weight of the Mavic wheelset

Cool to see the thread is still going. Wife and I acquired a puppy in the winter and life has been chaotic since then to say the least, lol.

Babylou, thanks for the tip on running the conical rubber plugs from McMaster. Good thinking.

Berserker, I put a lot of miles on the stock tires / pari motos which I thought performed very well. My biggest complaint was that they were easy to puncture (I run tubeless). I tried the Maxxis Pace 27.5 x 1.95 XC mtb tire which just about transformed the Slate into a XC hardtail, lol. Due to my need for efficiency while commuting I needed to take a step back and went with the WTB Horizon 47c's:

So far no punctures but can certainly feel the weight increase over the stock tires.

I heard 3T might be coming out with an XD-driver type of cassette that'll be more road friendly...supposedly coming on their new 1x Strada road bike. Might be a good option for Slate CX1 owners.
