Has anyone any experience of running the XG-1190 11sd cassette in CX? To me it looks like mud shedding would be a nightmare as there is nowhere for the mud to go through the cassette but I have heard of people having good results with it.

Any views?

Can you remove the StealthRing elastomers? I seem to remember reading that they were removable, but I can't find that article now.
Or if you were running an 11-32 you could just go to an XX cassette.

I have a reverse question. I just bought the sram red 12-27 cross cassette for my road bike because I like the gearing. Anybody try to add elastomers to this cassette?
