Tire Clearance GRX FD-RX815 vs FD-RX825

Hi

currently speccing a MOG, and was thinking of carrying over the 11 speed GRX FD - unless anyone has information that the 12 speed FD has more tire clearance?

Aren't the connectors on the cables a different size? IIRC the 11 speed (SD50?) are much larger diameter than 12 (SD300?), and then there are likely to be firmware incompatibilities too. If it was mechanical it'd probably be fine, but Di2 not so much.
