Campy is in the minority. Stocking different wheels, cassettes, and even chains just to offer a Campy specc'ed bike or two is bound to be a PITA for OEMs, especially if demand is small. Enough that it's not worthwhile to make the inventory commitment. If Campy were spaced the same as Shimano/SRAM, it removes a large part of that extra inventory cost and allows for Campy spec to be delivered with as little as shifters and derailleurs.
This comes from a guy who loves his Campy bikes, but runs Shimano spaced wheels, Shimano cassettes and Shimano chains on everything (with adaptations).
