I think they mean "not disc brake compatible". Sometimes you have to interpret.

Could be... thanks

Does anone know if the new 24 or 25mm wide clincher rims are easier to mount tires. My current wheels are the 38's and the only tire that mounts reasonable is the Schwalbe.

I have put the Hutchinson Atom galactic Tubeless on the 38 mm wheels so you can get each tire on those wheels if you really want...
Conti 4000S is also a very good one. But do not take e new one out of the box put it first on others wheels to get the shape in it.

If 10 days ago was the 9th or 8th of Feb in the US, then yes, you missed them before they shut down for Chinese Lunar New Year. It falls on the 10th Feb.
For most of them, they will shut down 2 days or so before the day so as to facilitate those who need to travel back to their hometowns. Also, a vast majority adhere to the long held tradition of 'Reunion Dinner' before the New Year, which is at least a day or two before it.

In China, its the biggest festival of the year, and most businesses other than F&B related will shut for 1 complete week at least. So 10 days is well within their work practices. Its a similar situation when we deal with European and American companies over the X'mas / New Year period. Everything comes to a complete standstill with most companies between the 23rd Dec and 3rd Jan too.

Farsports had a message posted on their site about closing for the Chinese New Year as well (Feb 5 - 18). I would guess they'll be back soon to handle everyone's big wheel emergencies.

I checked, and the vacation message is still up:

Here are the specs ...

FSC50-CJ - 2013 NEW Version - Cyclecross carbon wheels 50mm clincher, V-brake, 23mm width, Tubeless.
Rim: 700c 50mm deep, 23mm wide, clincher carbon rim, basalt braking surface.

ERD: 544mm

Perhaps Kyle can answer these questions :)
- are they U or V shaped rim
- what is the benefit of the basalt braking surface
- what is the rim weight
- can Clincher tyres and tubes be used with this rim
- how stable is the wheel in crosswinds
- can you order a 50/38mm deep wheelset
- which SwissStop pads can be used with these rims

Hi Kyle, welcome back, and maybe you can answer trillo1111's questions :)
