Scott,
The practice ride went really well. But we're not going back for the race. The promoters decided not to allow Ryjder to enter the race the week after we did the practice ride. Long story, but he is still the youngest rider to ever reach the summit by bike.

My son is doing a triathlon tomorrow. I've created a monster. He's only 7. Ugh!

So my son finished 4th in his first triathlon. I'm still trying to figure out how he forgot to put on his shoes in the swim-to-bike transition. He still managed the 5th fastest bike time in bare feet. hahaha

Mods, I know the rule about posting ebay links, but this is pretty awesome. If I had the budget, I would buy it. maybe there is another dad on this site looking for a kid's bike who has a thicker wallet than I.

Finally getting my son a bike. Going with the Ridley Icarus, 2011 model with SRAM Apex.
Getting the XXS so he should be golden. My wife is showing some interest in getting one as well.
HUMP

Why are the best things in life always the ones you start last?
You could get a custom built frame (maybe even Ti) for the beginning bid of that small Litespeed, and they stuck a cro-mo fork on it?
After looking around a bit, the Piedrahita frames seem like the nicest of the really small frames. Ted, any idea where there is a reliable source for them?

I think I just found the ultimate kid's frame; the Axman R20.

Piedrahita frequently sells his stuff on eBay. But not all the time. I may have an e-mail address for him somewhere. But I don't know another way to contact him.

That is very cool! I assume it is for 20-inch wheels. But I wonder what the availability is... in the US anyway.

What, no LW's? What kind of a Dad are you you? How did he manage to pull it off without LW's?
