Weight Weenies

I am looking for the smallest (not size but shape) helmet out there. I have a skinny and small head and large profile helmets look goofy on me........so i am looking for a sleek, low profile, and of course light weight helmet...what do you guys suggest?

Look at LAS and Rudy Project to start - I too don't care to look like I've got a huge watermelon for a helmet and have been quite satisfied with those just mentioned.

What about them time trail helmets?

LAS are not over all low profile...

One of the lowest profile lids right now is the Limar pro 104. Mid range venting, but damn low profile. The venting is a trade off... No deep channels meanis the liner thickness isnt too bad.





The venting isnt bad, it's just not nearly as good as a lot of other lids. Here in Arizona it's good into the 80's or so before I'll run something else...

My vote would also be for the Limar pro 104, I personally find it very comfy, not goofy like a giro, I love the weight (spot on 200g for my large) and the netting is great for stopping wasps and bees getting in. There have been many times I have walked the house after a ride with my helmet on without realising its there. About ventilation, I cannot comment as I live in the UK and it never gets too hot

I wouldnt call the prolight Giro goofy. In fact I think it's more comfortable and vents a lot better and it's lighter... But the Limar is a smaller outter shell size, is also damn light, quieter than most helmets, has a more adjustable retention system and is a solid build.

Lazer Genesis certainly qualifies as low profile.

Limar is the lowest for sure, otherwise I'd suggest the old Uvex FP1.

Giro pro light. It's small

I actually just bought a Giro ProLight.....in a size small. We will see how it is when it arrives

I would agree. It has to be one of the smallest looking helmets. I tend to buy all my helmets in the small size and just extend everything out as far as it will go. Giro Ionos in small looks pretty darn tiny/low profile.

I would say the Ekoi Squadra B has one of the lowest profiles. How slim a helmet looks though is often down to finding one that just fits so it is the smallest size you can get away. i.e. find a make/model which is on the limit of being too small, not on the limit of being too big for your head size.
