My new bike
Moderator: robbosmans
Well I'm getting it all ordered. Hopefully by New years I'll have it put together. Heres the list. Any suggestions helpfull, but this bike has to be no less then 6.8kg, otherwise I'll be dq'd from races.
Frame Cannondale CAAD 7 Optimo
Fork Cannondale Slice SI
Headset Campy Hidden
Cranks Cannondale SI
Wheels AM Classic 420 bladed 16/20
Stem Syntace F99 26.0mm
Bar Kestrel EMS Pro SL
Tape Cinnelli
Shifters Dura Ace 10
FD Dura Ace 10
RD Dura Ace 10
Chain Dura Ace 10
Cassette Dura Ace 10 12-23
Post Easton EC 90
Saddle Fizik Arione
Collar Extra lite
Brakes Dura Ace 10
Tires Michelin Pro Race 23c
Tubes Lunar Lite
Rim Tape Velox(anyone know another lighter, but still very stong? ROX is crap.)
QR's USE Alien Ti
Pedals Speedplay X/1
All built up with mid weight cages and computer it should weigh exactly 6.8k, so really 6.65-6.7 without. I know I could be made quite a bit lighter, but then I can't race it. Besides, I'm going for all out performance here, no comprimses with low weight. Again, any input on parts suggestions appreciated.

Try Ritchey rim tape.
I'd recommend some ti plates for the pedals
Nice spec man!

The seatpost.
You can get both FRM and Spada in the US.
For the wheels, it's your choice, I don't like American Classic products, but that's my preference.

No, because I bought the frame from one shop, and the parts from another.
The R3000 is way different from what I'm building anyways, it doesn't have SI crankset, I'm using kestrel carbon bars, syntace f99 stem, American classic 420's, alien QR's, EC 90 post, and extrlite seat colar, so it doesn't have that much in common. Besides, mine will be 300g lighter then the R3000.
And incase anyones wondering, I weighed a Team edition, size 56cm weighs 6914g stock. Alot of weight could be taken off, it has heavy cinelli Ram bars/stem, mavic ksyrium ssc, and other heavy parts.
hopefully by Xmass I'll have all of the stuff, I hate waiting for orders! But good things come to those who wait.
