Hi, I just recently built up my caad 9, and it came with an integrated headset, problem is i find the top cap spacer which is 25 mm. to be too high. Any idea what kind of headset to replace? or shall i just replace the top cap to 10mm? Is the caad 9 headtube diameter 46mm? or 45mm ?

caad9 uses a campy style integrated headset. I've got an extra unused FSA Orbit with short topcap. I bought the wrong one! PM me if you want it.

My 09 CAAD 9 has a cane creek headset assembly, I know a low stack version of the top spacer is available from Cane Creek. If you call them I am sure they will get one to you.

The headset is not a Cane Creek headset even though it says Cane Creek on it. It's just the name of the patent:

Why, it is a Cane Creek headset, albeit a copy. An OEM copy of Cane Creek IS-2i.

A campy record hiddenset is a great option if you need low stack height:

Perfectly compatible with your caad 9.
