It prevents the chain from bouncing of the pulley-wheels, but does this happen so often? Many tuned derailleur plates don't have them...
Dunno, the Campag super light one they do doesn't have that tab which is what I'm running so you would probably be fine in my books. Some others here might more experience with it though.

Does anyone know which size hex wrench is needed to remove the tiny bolts securing the cage and jockey wheels? I'm trying to install a Fibre-lyte carbon cage and wheels, but the Park Tool hex set I have doesn't have one that fits the bolt heads.

Another question - does anyone know where is it possible to get the Sram Red Aeroglide derailleur cage? Both plates, also the outside cage. Any information would be much aprreciated, thanks!

How would u compare the fibrelyte jockey wheels to sram stock ones?
i ordered the kcnc,out of looks really,ceramic they are but I'm having second thoughts,as most ppl seems to think they're actually not so good.

i think ill return the kcnc ceramic wheels and get the fibre lyte instead...

some great secret info along the way, I just got myself a sram red RD and I will be sourcing for nylon bolts and cages...any suggestions for the bolts? on black?
(I'm sure is somewhere on the thread)

I have found nylon bolts on ebay and also some hobby stores, but I have never found them in black. Anyway they are very cheap compared to ti and carbon.

what about risk of resect nylon bolts and break the head (e.g with stress of bottle cage or rd adjustment)? i'm affraid this occured with water and excessive sun, and thread without head stay inside bolt hole.

If the head breaks off, easy to remove with a small drill bit. I did once for a rear mech, easy job. I doubt it was the sun or water that caused the problem. Your not going to get any corrosion from plastic as far as I am aware.
