Surely some of the match sprinters are Shimano sponsored and are using the latest Dura-Ace 7710 track cranks and matching splined BB's?

Petachi is a Campy guy this year, maybe just to slow him down?

I have heard reports that campy cranks are currently being heavily discounted at the wholesale level in the US. Having said that, the bottom brackets are not, but they would still be needed long after a new design, to accomodate all the legacy owners.

Maybe where there's smoke there's fire?
