Thanks. :)

I like the simplicity of the 2009 paintjobs better.

Premium fork is noteworthy, as is the 'Made in the USA' sticker staying on there - I thought they were stopping that? No tapered headtube yet either.

Looks like some nice high spec BB30 CADD9s, and lower spec with standard still. No taper steerer though.

I wonder why they spec'd a Red crankset for the Rival model when there is a Force BB30 on offer? Seems like it would take the MSRP up to the point of a full 2010 Force equipped CAAD9. Maybe it's just a stand-in? I've been hoping that we would get word of a Rival BB30 one of these days.

Speaking of MSRP, any (publicly share-able) figures or ranges tossed around in Park City? I've been looking forward to the long rumored Rival equipped CAAD9. Great to see it's BB30. Now I'm just hoping it's reasonably priced... and available soon. :D

Force crank may not have been available at time of assembly?

No way!! I like the charcoal colour CAAD9 and SuperSix... if these were out now - my choice of bike purchase may have been different!! I was a bit tired of so much red and so much white - they just get really dirty really quickly... I try to get as much black or charcoal on the bike i want... plus if your bike is less 'blingy' then you can get components that really lift the look of the bike instead of the frame...

They look great though - glad to see Cannondale are still making these fantastic alloy frames... when they get an oversized head tube with a BB30 BB then i reckon i'll be putting an order in for a 3rd bike  With 11sp Chorus - these bikes would be an awesome race machine...

That superSix is indeed hot too!

But, like brunette women, I have a weakness for white bikes

And lets not talk about 3rd bikes eh Stats - otherwise we could both suddenly come home to the sounds of bags being packed

No tapered head tube because, apparently, in Al, it's neither stiffer or lighter than a standard setup. It's actually heavier and thus not better. Cannondale's mantra is usually "how can we do it better than what's out now." Apparently they made a tapered HT and it heavier and the same stiffness as this setup. If you think about it it makes sense. The larger HT on carbon bikes in in an effort to manage the fiber "grain" and a larger surface allows the fiber to run straighter and are thus stiffer and stronger.

Anyway.....

I know there is a Red crank in there but they didn't have a Force one to stick in there so they put the Red in for the meeting to have a crank. The spec is Force BB30. Don't quote me on this, since I'm to lazy to walk across he room to get my binder, but it's $1699 and the DA bike will be $2699-$2799. Also, full carbon forks this year on all CAAD 9s.

Here's one that you guys should like. 12.65, stock, WITH SRM, size 56. Super 6 Ultimate

It's light

What till you guys see the new fat tire bikes. Suffice it to say, they have a stock mountain bike that is lighter than most bikes on this forum  . AND it is totally rideable/raceable with no wight limits on any of the parts

Also, just in case there is any question about where the CAAD9 is manufactured, here you go.

Are there any CAAD9 sloping frames?

The classic geometry looks a bit old-fashioned.
